So yesterday I went to Santa Fe.
First, there was some work to do on the ranch. When I arrived, a man who is a "dowser" was there to help find a source for a new well. He's a man in his late 70's and a real character. Along with pointing out where the best place to drill was, he also pointed out an area where several Anazasi Indians had died. His brass rods went crazy in the places he said was water. It was kind of cool.
Then I had dinner with the photographer Mary Peck, who is working on another book. This one is about Butan. It was nice to talk about processes and projects . It was a pleasant night in Santa Fe.
Then after dinner, I met up with some of the usual gang and had a few beers and lots of chat. The changes in the Santa Fe photo community are quite interesting. We'll see what pans out.
Then this morning, I had breakfast with Ingrid and then a quick coffee with Ian. After that was a lunch with Norman at Cloudcliff. It's always a good time and good chat with Norman.
So now I am back in ABQ. More work to do on the house and in the darkroom.
