Back to Normal?

I am not sure normal is the right word or something that will happen for a while.

I spent most of the weekend indoors. Today I developed some film.

I need to shoot more. Need to get things going again.

Ilford News

In the last month or so, HARMAN Technology Limited, the company that owns Ilford Photo, has purchased Kentmere Photo, who was a longtime competitor.

There is a ton of speculation and panic about all of this.

I see it as both good and bad.

The good side is Ilford is making sure they will be around for a while. Apparently, they are even using the paper coating machines to make their digital papers which is now baryta based.

The bad side is, they might be moving towards a monopoly and as the US dollar gets pummeled in the world economy, things will get more expensive.

Also, since Forte has gone out of business, Bergger has apparently gone into contracts to have Ilford make their products now.

As of right now, there are no plans to discontinue any of the products from Kentmere.

We are home from Las Vegas.

It was a fun trip.

Good to see family.

Not good to spend so much money.

My Aunt Shirley

My great Aunt Shirley, my grandmothers sister, died this morning.

She was the last of 6 children.

Growing up, I saw her as often as I saw my grandmother, which was a lot.

I will miss you Aunt Shirl.

I miss Sam

It's been a few weeks and I am still not used to this. I still have a hard time believing Sam won't be coming back to my house or meeting me for the afternoon coffee.

Yesterday was really hard. I was in a bad mood for most of the day. I just could not shake it.

I miss Sam.
