I get such an uncomfortable feeling watching John McSame talk. There is something so wrong, so slimy about him.
All his talk about the problems with Washington and how he is going to change it. How come he has not changed yet, even after 26 years in government?
Anyway, here are my thoughts.
Tax breaks for oil companies? Not anymore. It needs to stop. They need to start using the billions they have in profits. If they need to drill off shore, they have plenty of money to do it.
Health care. Want to help me out? Send me, not the health care company, a check for it. Let me show proof of my coverage, then write me a check. Let me support the company, not the government.
Alternative energy. I am a huge fan of alternative energy, especially wind power. Our government really needs to make this happen. It's about as green as it gets.
Tax break for the middle class. I am sick of hearing about the super wealthy getting breaks. Why not the little guy? The little guy needs it the most.
Watch Wall Street. Bail out AIG, go on a vacation. That is what the executives of AIG did. One week after AIG was bailed out by $85 billion dollars of taxpayers money, executives went on a $443,343.71 luxury vacation. AIG spent $200,000 dollars for hotel rooms. Almost $150,000 for catered banquets. AIG spent $23,000 at the hotel spa and another $1,400 at the salon. They were getting manicures, facials, pedicures and massages while American people were footing the bill. Wall Street has proven they need to be watched.
Stop with loose credit. I get about 5 credit card applications a week with credit limits up to $25,000. This is ridiculous. Stop sending credit card applications to college students. It doesn't make sense.
Get out of Iraq. Enough is enough. We have not benefited one bit from being there. We have lost over 4000 soldiers. We spent $400 million a day being there. For what?
Stop being the World Bank. How can we kept sending money to needy countries around the world if we have to borrow billions from China just to support ourselves?
Let's start taking care of ourselves, take care of Americans.
